best friends

So, this was my company today as I sat on the porch fixing my bike. They carried on talking and laughing.. eating ice cream and sitting for a good half an hour like nothing at all was silly about riding double on a toy donkey or the fact that they weren't even getting anywhere... just eating ice cream and enjoying life. O, to be a kid again.

B-17 Bomber

Paul and I went to the B-17 bomber that is at the airport for the weekend and were pleasantly surprised to see extended family there too!! It was an amazing thing to walk through this bomber and learn about the plane missions and imagine what it would be like to work in the tiny spaces in side the plane.

Happy Birthday Paul!

Paul is a very special man
If I'm having a bad day he'll do everything he can.
He's one of those guys that everyone loves
and he has no interest in ever owning doves.
Now guns on the other hand....
for one of those he would do a walking handstand, with a freehand,
while the other hand is petting his beloved dogs.
(he also hasn't any interest in ever owning frogs).
When I think about it, Paul is a very special man
and I love being married to him! (I hope he never needs a bedpan)

Camping at McGregor Lake

The great crawdad escapade

We are always driving BY this spot but never take the time to stop and enjoy it. This is coming into Polson from the south and I love the view with Flathead Lake and the pretty mountains. This was on my b'day when we lolly-gagged around the Polson/Ronan/Kalispell area looking for cool stuff for the house.

Got Home From Camping Last Spring........

This weekend, the Anderson-Stolte Compounders and the residential RV ers went to the Mcgregor Lake campground to enjoy two days of heat and camp food. (Oh, for those who are wondering, the Mosquitoe Blood Bank went quite well. I feel good knowing that because of my donation, mosquiotes can live a day longer. Visit www.mosquitoesdeservetolive.com ) Any way, the heat at the campground was unbearable, and the sun burns were many.(Is it just me, or do I smell burning skin?) The lake was beckoning to our roasted soals as we stared out of our hot huts. After much debate and burned skin diposal, we all went down to the dock. I wondered how cold it would be if I jumped.......Aunt Sarah and I considerd quietly who would be the first to endure the frigid waters. A moment of inspiration hit me just then, and I rememberd one of the cheesy songs I learned in choir this year. It was entitled "Somebody has To Be First". Hmmmmm. Ok then. I ran at full gallop to the end of the dock, and plunged into the water. Two words-BAD IDEA!!!!!I don't remember the feeling of the water, only that it was cold. You may get the idea of the extent of the damage done by the water when I say that a few minutes after the jump, May-Z commented on my amethyst lips. "Merebear! Your lips are purple! " YAY.

big teaches little
to fly paper airplanes

Last night was the end of year sleepover to celebrate the last day of school. Although there were many cousins missing, we patched together a good time. The star of the show was the guy here in the red plaid (yea, plaid again) flannel p.j.'s.
He was teaching the little one how to fly paper airplanes. Soon, a paper airplane soared through the sky, landing in the flames under the teapot. There were flames and an Aunt running for the water.

With the fire out, back up they went. We carried on, making Crepes and drinking tea as paper planes filled the house, the cups, the floor, the sink... and the last one here.. in the pan. Good shot!

Thanks kiddos for a wonderful night and here's to the SWEETNESS of SUMMERTIME!! Love you all forever and ever & ever and ever. I am blessed to get be your Aunt.

It is Now Officially Summer!

Yay! School let out today and I am pretty excited that I don't have to wake up at six in the morning to go to some school where I am forced to sit in a sweltering classroom with a bunch of obnoxious sixth grade boys who throw paper at your head and discuss less than school appropriate topics. Not that I dislike school, but I was sooooooo anxious for it to all be over that I couldn't stand being at school. Well, it is all over now and I can relax and sle.... oh yeah. I have a babysitting job for half the summer. There goes my beauty sleep. They better pay me well.........

Summer Time!!!!!!

Oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah yeah yeah !Sorry, sudden out burst over. I am just so excited for school to be out! Ahhhhh....... s'mores, smoke in the eyes, and my personal favorite-running a blood bank for poverty stricken mosquitoes worldwide. You know, malaria isn't all that bad. I would do anything for a mosquito to be able to live out it's full 30 day lifespan. Anyway, today was the last day of real school for me. I still have 4 days, but they can't be really considered school. After all, all we are doing is going to the water slides, having a class BBQ, and meeting with our first grade buddies, who all have speech problems. Fun. Well, I will be checking in later, most likely after school ends. See ya' !( Oh, this is merebear!)
