Springsteen and the E Street Band concert

Well Dan, Tony, Terry and I made it back from Seattle on Sunday. Oh yeah, just in case you don't know, the four of us get together on Thursday evenings and work at making some kind of recognizeable music on our various instruments.....from guitars to ocarina's. I'm not too sure we even qualify as a garage band yet, but maybe some day if we don't all go deaf first. Anyway, we had a wild idea one Thursday evening a month or so ago and decided that it would be fun to go to the Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band concert. This brainstorm ended up with us traveling to Seattle on Friday the 28th to attend Saturday evenings concert at the Key Arena in the Seattle Center. I gotta admit it was quite an experience. The concert was sold out with over 26,000 people in attendance. Thanks to Garry Tallent, who plays bass in The E Street Band, we had some great seats as well as passes to the E Street Lounge. I'll attempt to attach a couple of photos that Terry took with his cell phone. They aren't real good pictures but later I'll try to add some more photos that Dan took with his camera. The E Street Lounge was a room that you had to have this special pass to get past security. There were approximatley 30 people there although I didn't know any of them except Dan, Tony and Terry, so we just kinda stood around and tried to decide what to do next. Garry did come in to visit with us and we had a nice time talking with him. We also got the standard "groupy" type picture of the 5 of us together. That's one that will be posted later. I also asked Garry for an autograph, which brought a smile to his face and the comment, "Ric, you have to be kidding." He did agree however once I told him that Buzz wanted it. He must know Buzz. :-) Anyway we had a great time. The trip home was uneventful, we rotated with 1 driving and 3 sleeping.....
