Great is Thy Faithfulness

Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

It was 2 weeks ago today, that our family was blessed with Shon and Cory. Our lives will never be the same again. These two came into our arms and hearts as frightened, unsure, quiet, and timid babies. We now watch in wonder and amazement as they laugh, play, throw tantrums, sleep peacefully, and allow us to love them. Our God is so good!

God's provision has been amazing and a true testament of His love and faithfulness. The outpouring of love from family, friends, and neighbors has left us speechless. Within 24 hours of announcing that the boys would be arriving on Saturday, September 6, our home was filled with everything that we would need to bring them home. We have been given car seats, beds, clothes, meals, gift cards, etc. Our neighbors have all rallied and offered their time and energy in helping us maintain a normal schedule for Lauren, Payton, Maggie, and Faith. We are so thankful.

The boys' story continues to unfold, and in respect of their privacy and dignity, and due to confidentiality laws, we cannot share everything that we know. We do want to share that their biological mother has been found, and that we now know their given names and birth dates. She will be asked by DHS to relinquish her parental rights. We are praying that she will do this, eliminating any need for legal action on the part of DHS. We would then be able to set our adoption finalization date!

We have felt and seen God's tremendous faithfulness these past 14 days. We know that He will continue to walk with us, and carry us during the times that we are not able to walk. We ask that you all continue to pray for us as we walk down this new path in our lives. Please pray that Shon and Cory will continue to adjust and that any trauma in their past will be erased from their memory, and that they will continue to gain confidence and trust in us. Please pray for us as we love them, teach them, and show them that they are a child of God, and that they are "fearfully and wonderfully made". Please pray for us, so that we will remember that they our God's, and that God loves them more than we ever could. Please pray that God's will be done, and in that, we will know that He is our strength, hope, rock, refuge, and place of rest.

We love you all, and miss you terribly. When we look at all the reasons why we moved back to Colorado, Shon and Cory are the greatest reason of all! Thank you for loving them~We can't wait for you to meet them!!

Love, Misty
